Help make Tacoma the City of Destiny!

The 15 Now Tacoma Campaign Needs You! Volunteers wanted to collect approximately 3500 valid signatures! This is to get $15/hr minimum wage on the ballot in November 2015.

You can help by gathering signatures from your friends, family, at your church, holiday gatherings, school, union, work (when you are off the clock!) etc.

We will provide you with a custom 15 Now Tacoma clipboard, petitions, voter registration cards, donation envelopes and brief training. Message us or email us at 15nowtacoma253@gmail.com.

Check out the new Signature Gathering Opportunity calendar. If an item appears to be of interest, just click on it, and it will expand, showing the details. If you want to participate, you may leave a comment at the bottom of this list if you wish.

  1. Hi Alan,

The labor council meeting is still on the calendar and I am not able to remove it. Would you please remove it? That is for internal campaign communication only. Labor council meetings are not really public events.

When I post info about signature gathering opportunities, i will try to remember to indicate whether it should go on the public calendar.

    Sarah

  2. Signature gathering opportunity at the University of Puget Sound, MLK, Jr. event Tuesday, Jan. 20 7PM-9PM. Speaker is activist, former Green Party candidate, Rose Clemente. Her presentation is at 7PM and we can collect signatures outside Schneebeck Hall afterwards. Event is free, open to public. Best place to park and access Schneebeck Hall is parking lot at North 14th and Union. Sarah Morken and Kathleen Campbell will be there. A couple of others would be good to cover both doors.

  3. Another signature opportunity: Monday, January 20, 8AM at UW Tacoma Student Center (1710 Market St.) for annual MLK, Jr. Unity Breakfast.

  4. Monday, Jan. 19, 8AM is march to the Convention Center at the cafeteria of Bates Technical College (South 11th and Yakima Ave.). Marchers leave at 9AM

  5. Monday, Jan. 19 at 2PM at Washington State History Museum (1911 S. Pacific Ave.) will have panel presentation discussing “Are You a Change-Maker?” Free admission to museum on Monday.
